The UGM-8 is a brand-new mobile LMG introduced as part of Warzone Season 4. Here’s how to unlock its full potential with the best attachments, Perks, and equipment.
Each new major update brings a host of new content into the CoD battle royale, and Warzone Season 4 is no different. On top of a shiny Battle Pass crammed full of rewards to unlock, there are also plenty of new weapons to get to grips with.
Available on day one is the UGM-8, a fast-firing LMG with an emphasis on mobility rather than sheer brute force. The devs mentioned that the gun “excels at creating suppressing fire and pushing enemy positions.”
But before heading out into the new-look Cladera with the UGM-8 in hand, you’re going to need to know how to set it up. We’ve put together the best UGM-8 loadout for Warzone Season 4, complete with the optimal attachments, Perks, and equipment.
Best Warzone UGM-8 loadout attachments
- Muzzle: MX Silencer
- Barrel: Bernard XL214 736mm
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Mercier WT Ancre
- Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
- Magazine: .303 British 75 Round Box
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
- Perk: Tight Grip
- Perk 2: On-Hand
The UGM-8 already has great mobility for a gun in its class, but it can be a bit unwieldy when firing at targets at a distance. With this in mind, our build is geared around buffing the range and accuracy to make it more effective in the open spaces of Caldera.
Combing the MX Silencer, Bernard XL214 736mm Barrel, Mercier WT Ancre Stock, Polymer Grip, and M1941 Hand Stop drastically increases the LMG’s recoil control land accuracy. This lets you utilize the UGM-8’s blistering fire rate with more precision, turning it into a laser with a rapid TTK.
The 303 British 75 Round Box also helps in the accuracy department, but it also boosts movement speed and hipfire to allow you to rush into fights when the time comes. We load them with Lengthened rounds for extra bullet velocity – essential in long-range fights.
Optics is largely down to personal preference, we’ve gone for the Slate Reflector as it’s the cleanest and easiest to use, but choose whichever sight you’re most comfortable with. Finally, in terms of Perks, we’ve got Tight Grip for one final buff to recoil control, and On-Hand to help the notorious slow ADS speed that all LMGs suffer from.
All in all, by applying these attachments, your UGM-8 LMG will be beaming enough enemies from across the map to rival Warzone’s best Assault Rifles.
Best Perks to use with Warzone UGM-8 class
- Perk 1: E.O.D
- Perk 2: Overkill
- Perk 3: Amped
- Lethal Equipment: Semtex
- Tactical Equipment: Stim
Explosives tend to fly across Caldera, threating to send you straight to the Gulag. So, we recommend E.O.D for some much-needed resistance to enemy projectiles.
Then you should go for Overkill, to pair the UGM-8 with a close-range option like an SMG or Shotgun. Lastly, Amped allows you to switch between the two faster so you’re never caught with the wrong weapon out for too long.
When it comes to equipment, it’s hard to go wrong with Semtex for an easy-to-use lethal, and Stims can offer a welcome health and movement boost perfect for escaping a tough situation.
How to unlock the UGM-8 in Warzone
Unlocking the UGM-8 is pretty straightforward, all you have to do is reach Tier 31 of the Warzone Season 4 Battle Pass.
Don’t worry, though, this is one of the free tiers, so you won’t have to pay for the entire Battle Pass to unlock the weapon. Simply earn enough XP and it’s all yours.
Best UGM-8 alternatives
If the UGM-8 isn’t cutting it for you, you might want to switch to a slower-firing LMG like the Bren, which makes up for its fire rate by dealing huge damage per shot.
If you’re looking to move away from LMGs altogether, then a rapid SMG like H4 Blixen might do the trick.
