FaZe Booya claims Cold War AR outshines NZ-41 on Rebirth Island

Assault Rifles continue to dominate Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4, so we’ve placed every Assault Rifle into a ranked list and counted down the top ARs you can run in Caldera and Rebirth Island.

Assault Rifles are a staple in Call of Duty. Capable of dealing severe damage at almost any range, they’re the go-to for most players. They’re especially prominent in Warzone for their versatility, and through the Gunsmith system, you can build them any way you like.

With every season and update, Warzone’s meta shifts. While Raven Software nerfed the meta weapons in the June 30 and July 7 updates, there’s still one gun on top. However, there are still plenty of viable Assault Rifles in Season 4.

Here’s a ranked list of every AR as well as a summary of the best Assault Rifles in Warzone Pacific Season 4.

This is our comprehensive list of every AR in Call of Duty: Warzone, and we’ve ranked them in ascending order to let you know which ones are worth using.

While there used to be an even distribution of Vanguard, Modern Warfare, and Cold War guns, you’ll find that Vanguard weapons make up the majority of the meta picks. However, some solid MW and Cold War guns make up the top 10 if you want to use them instead.

Best Warzone Assault Rifles

5. KG M40

KG M40 assault rifle in Warzone

Warzone players love a low-recoil Assault Rifle and the KG M40 has barely any. While it doesn’t have the most incredible stats, the KG M40 is so easy to use that you’ll have no trouble landing shots.

The KG M40 has high bullet velocity and it deals a ton of headshot damage, but it’s held back by its low TTK when hitting body shots. If the NZ-41 ever sees a significant nerf, this Assault Rifle is a strong contender for the meta spot.

4. M13

M13 in Warzone

Modern Warfare weapons have always been fan-favorites because of their modern aesthetic and realistic animations, and the M13 is a great way to have some Modern Warfare season nostalgia.

The M13 has the stats to match the best Assault Rifles on the list, it’s only held back by its damage-per-mag, where you’ll find you run out of ammo quickly. But, take the M13 into solos or duos and you’ll be using one of the best Assault Rifles in the game.

3. Cooper Carbine

Best Warzone Pacific cooper carbine loadout

The Cooper Carbine was a popular choice thanks to its high fire rate and low recoil, and it’s remained a great choice for medium-range fights.

The Cooper’s bullet velocity isn’t the greatest, so you won’t be beaming players across Caldera, but take it into Fortune’s Keep or Rebirth Island and you’ll have a fantastic Assault Rifle in your hands. If you’d rather have something with more range then we’d recommend the BAR, which is up next.

2. BAR

The BAR was a meta weapon when Warzone Pacific first launched in December 2021 and cemented itself in the meta ahead of Season 4.

While its slower fire rate makes it slightly unforgiving, landing your shots will absolutely delete players. It has extremely low recoil too, where you barely need to move your mouse or thumbstick to keep it still.

Although a little bit slow for Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep, there will be few weapons capable of outgunning it in Caldera.

1. NZ-41 – best Assault Rifle in Warzone

NZ-41 Assault Rifle in Warzone

Vanguard’s NZ-41 Assault Rifle was almost completely ignored until the June 2 update where it received a game-changing overhaul, and it’s been the best and most popular weapon in the game ever since.

Although Raven have nerfed it in three consecutive updates, the NZ-41 is still the best Assault Rifle in the game thanks to its low recoil and high zoom. It’s by far Warzone’s easiest weapon to use, and it needs another considerable nerf to knock it from its pedestal.

Bring any of these ARs into Caldera in Warzone Pacific Season 4 and you’ll find yourself using some of the best Warzone Assault Rifles in Call of Duty’s battle royale.
