Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific features almost 200 weapons, and the most popular have been revealed, so we’re counting down Season 5’s top ten guns as of August 30, 2022.
As is standard for Warzone, the meta is constantly changing. The Warzone Pacific update brought in over 40 new weapons from Call of Duty: Vanguard, and more keep coming. The Season 5 update brought the new RA 225 SMG and EX1 Assault Rifle, along with a ton of weapon buffs and nerfs that changed the meta.
With this major meta change, thanks to WZRanked.com, we can see Warzone Pacific Season 5’s most popular weapons. So, we’re counting down the top ten guns that players are using before the BP50 & Lienna 57 arrive later in Season 5.
Most popular guns in Warzone
10. Marco 5 – 3.12%
The Marco 5 was Season 4’s brand-new SMG, which boasts a fast time to kill and the ability to be dual-wielded. The Season 5 update delivered hefty nerfs to the Marco 5 which has seen the SMG plummet down the list and barely hold on to the tenth spot.
Although its Akimbo Perk makes it fun to use, players prefer to use it as a traditional SMG. With the classic build, it still has great mobility and is a great SMG to use alongside your favorite Assault Rifle on either Caldera or Fortune’s Keep.
9. Kilo 141 – 3.30%
The Kilo 141 hasn’t been popular since Verdansk, but it made its way back into the top 10 most popular following the Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded update.
Although extremely accurate, the Kilo 141 has always been let down by its significant damage drop-off. This drop-off was removed with Season 4 Reloaded, but then the devs nerfed its damage again with the August 3 update.
In Season 5, it’s managed to remain within the top ten despite its previous nerf.
8. Automaton – 3.47%
The Automaton has reemerged as one of the best long-range options in the game. It had its time in the spotlight at the very beginning of Warzone Pacific but faded out of existence with weapons like the NZ-41 gaining popularity.
The NZ-41 is now long gone and the long-range meta has shifted in Season 5, which has allowed players to appreciate the Automaton’s easy-to-use nature and pinpoint accuracy.
7. STG44 – 3.96%
The STG44 was by far the most popular weapon before the NZ-41 received its major buffs. Another low recoil weapon, its popularity has grown during Season 5 contrary to what players predicted.
With a solid TTK, fast bullet velocity, and minimum recoil, it’s an effective choice for players of all skill levels. It’s on the cusp of being top-tier, and even the smallest of buffs would catapult this classic WW2 rifle back to the top of the meta.
6. PPSh-41 (VG) – 4.18%
The best Vanguard SMGs took a hefty hit with the Season 5 update, which allowed the PPSh-41 to emerge unscathed. Not only did it not receive a nerf, but one of its best attachments in the 8mm Nambu 71 Round Mags received a buff.
5. KG M40 – 4.50%
Warzone players always gravitate towards low-recoil weapons, so the KG M40 took the NZ-41’s place after it was nerfed in Season 4 Reloaded. With almost no recoil, it’s never been easier to beam enemies across the map than with the KG M40.
But again, it saw damage nerfs in the August 3 update and Season 5 update so it lost its spot as the most popular weapon in Warzone. Nonetheless, the nerfs weren’t too damning and it’s still an easy weapon to use.
4. H4 Blixen – 4.66%
The H4 Blixen was one of the best SMGs in the game, following the Season 4 Reloaded update, but that has changed as Season 5 came around. The SMG’s attachments were nerfed and it has since lost its spot as the most popular SMG in the game.
The fourth spot on this list is still a respectable position for a weapon that has received back-to-back nerfs following the Season 5 update. If you’re comfortable with the Blixen, you shouldn’t hesitate to use it.
3. Cooper Carbine – 5.29%
Plenty of low-recoil builds have made their way onto this list, and the Cooper Carbine’s fire rate and mobility have made it a popular choice for Fortune’s Keep.
Again, it’s not the most powerful weapon in the game but its almost non-existent recoil and decent damage have seen it claim an impressive spot within the top 3 most popular weapons in Warzone.
2. Grau 5.56 – 8.21%
Much to the delight of Warzone players, the Grau 5.56 is finally a meta weapon once more following Season 5 buffs. For months players had been calling for Modern Warfare weapons to receive buffs, and the devs answered those calls with major Grau buffs.
Due to its previous popularity, it didn’t take long for the Assault Rifle to find its way to this list. Thanks to its familiarity and steady aim during long-distance engagements, the Grau is back on top in Warzone Pacific Season 5.
1. Armaguerra 43 – 9.31% – Most popular Warzone weapon
Even though Warzone’s Armaguerra 43 received nerfs in the Season 5 update alongside most of the best SMGs, it’s still a fantastic choice. This is especially true for players who tend to pair it with a Sniper.
The Armaguerra has most SMGs beat at medium-range and its versatility is the lead factor behind its popularity in Season 5. It’s a great all-around SMG and it’s very easy to use. Only time will tell if the RA 225 can dethrone the Armaguerra as Season 5 progresses.
If you’re yet to use any of these weapons in Warzone Pacific Season 5, they’re excellent choices no matter which map you prefer.
