Warzone vehicles can now drive through solid rock to kill players

The World Series of Warzone event returns in 2022 with a whopping $600k prize pool across both regions. Here’s how to watch Warzone’s best across NA and EU battle it out for the lion’s share of the prize money.

Competitive Warzone is back, with the World Series of Warzone tournament returning for 2022. There’s $300k up for grabs in both the NA and EU regions, bringing the prize pool up to a mighty $600,000.

This time, however, it’s not just streamers and pro players taking part. During Season 4 Reloaded, Activision hosted open in-game qualifiers where anyone could be in with a shot of earning their portion of the impressive prize pool, and all of the teams have now been locked in.

Here’s everything you need to know about the competitive Warzone event taking place during Season 5, including how to watch it, the schedule, format, and teams.

How to watch World Series of Warzone 2022: Stream & schedule

The World Series of Warzone finals will be broadcast on Call of Duty’s Twitch channel, and you can check out the dates and times below:

  • Europe Finals – Tuesday, September 6, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST
  • North America Finals – Wednesday, September 7, at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET / 8 PM BST

We’ve embedded the World Series of Warzone Twitch stream below but there are plenty of high-profile players taking part so you should be able to watch their individual gameplay too.

World Series of Warzone 2022 format

There will be a 2022 World Series of Warzone tournament in both the EU and NA regions, with each having a prize pool of $200k. Plus, to round off the event the SoloYolo returns, where one player from each region will take home an extra $100,000 if they can pull off the solo win.

40 teams of Trios drop into Caldera and must rack up as many points as possible across the event, where placement and kills count towards the score.

The format is much the same as other Warzone tournaments such as the CDL Resurgence, so here’s a breakdown of the scoring:

  • 1 Elimination = 1 Point
  • Placement Multiplier
    • 1st = 2x Points
    • 2nd-15th = 1.5x Points
    • 16th-40th = 1x Points

With the NA Qualifiers over, all of the teams are locked in ahead of the EU and NA Finals and Solo Yolo. You’ll see some of the biggest names in Call of Duty taking part, with content creators, Warzone pros, and CDL players all fighting for their share of the $300k.
