Assault Rifles continue to dominate Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 Reloaded, so we’ve placed every Assault Rifle into a ranked list and counted down the top ARs you can run in Caldera and Rebirth Island.
Assault Rifles are a staple in Call of Duty. Capable of dealing severe damage at almost any range, they’re the go-to for most players. They’re especially prominent in Warzone for their versatility, and through the Gunsmith system, you can build them any way you like.
With every season and update, Warzone’s meta shifts. The Assault Rifle meta has been shaken up by both Season 3 Reloaded and the following June 2 update, making some of the best ARs fall down the rankings, and helping others rise up.
Here’s a ranked list of every AR as well as a summary of the best Assault Rifles in Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded.

Best Warzone Assault Rifles
5. Cooper Carbine
The Cooper Carbine was a popular choice thanks to its high fire rate and low recoil, and it’s remained a great choice for medium-range fights.
The Cooper’s bullet velocity isn’t the greatest, so you won’t be beaming players across Caldera, but take it into Rebirth Island and you’ll have a fantastic Assault Rifle in your hands. If you’d rather something with more range then we’d recommend the Automaton which we’ve ranked number six.
4. Vargo 52
The Vargo 52 became an immediate powerhouse when it arrived in Black Ops Cold War in 2022, and it’s still one of the best weapons in the game.
Many still prefer Black Ops Cold War’s weapons to Vanguard’s, and the Vargo 52 has now become the best non-Vanguard Assault Rifle in Warzone. The XM4 used to have slightly better stats but after the Season 3 Reloaded update, the Vargo has become statistically better.
The BAR was a meta weapon when Warzone Pacific first launched in December 2021, but it has returned in Season 3 Reloaded.
While its slower fire rate makes it slightly unforgiving, landing your shots will absolutely delete players. It has extremely low recoil too, where you barely need to move your mouse or thumbstick to keep it still.
Although a little bit slow for Rebirth Island, there will be few weapons capable of outgunning it in Caldera.
Vanguard’s NZ-41 Assault Rifle was almost completely ignored until the June 2 update where it received a game-changing overhaul.
Although Raven slightly reduced its effectiveness at close-range, its accuracy and long-range damage have seen major buffs. It will now deal more damage at its first ranges, and almost every aspect of its recoil has been made easier to control.
It kills faster than both the BAR and STG but isn’t as easy to control, so it has firmly cemented itself in Season 3 Reloaded’s Assault Rifle meta.
1. STG44 – Best Assault Rifle in Warzone
With buffs to its damage, range, and bullet velocity, it’s the best Assault Rifle in the game. With almost no recoil and a highly respectable time-to-kill, it’s the go-to for the majority of players. It’s been the most popular weapon since Warzone’s Season 3 update and it’ll take some serious change to bring it down.
Bring any of these ARs into Caldera in Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded and you’ll find yourself using some of the best Warzone Assault Rifles in Call of Duty’s battle royale.
